Processor Tooltip

Processor

Your processor is the brain of your device. It’s typically measured in Gigahertz or GHz. A higher number indicates that the processor is faster and able to do more things in a shorter amount of time.

Cores

Processor speed is also defined by how many cores it has. Multiple cores allow the processor to do many things simultaneously. For certain applications, multiple cores can drastically improve the speed at which your machine will perform.

Turbo Boost

Turbo boost is a feature built into some processors which, in the right circumstances, will increase the operating speed (GHz) of the processor while turning off some of the processor cores temporarily to give your applications more speed.
